Extreme sports: adventures on the Dolomites

DAY 1

HANG-GLIDING IN MEDUNO

After breakfast, departure for the Meduno flying zone on the Friulian Prealps. Meeting with the instructor for the flying experience on a two-seater hang-glider with an authorized, qualified pilot. A hang-glider is the closest way for a human to fly like a bird. A few steps are enough to glide in the wind, lying with the wings on the back to enjoy a real unique experience!  The rest of the day is free for some walking in the area or other activities at your desire. Dinner and overnight accommodation in a hotel.

DAY 2

ROCK CLIMBING AND NORDIC WALKING ON THE FRIULIAN DOLOMITES

Departure for Cimolais or Erto for the unique rock climbing experience on the fully equipped rock gym, where an experienced alpine guide will escort you on a thrilling climbing in complete safety, suitable for youths and adults. Bag lunch provided by the hotel and departure for Andreis, a beautiful small village perched on the slopes of the Friulian Dolomites, to meet the alpine local guide. Departure for the Nordic Life Park in Andreis, the first Nordic Walking Park in the Pordenone province, that offers 8 tracks skillfully designed for the so called “Nordic Walking” around  the center of Andreis and on the Friulian Dolomites. The itinerary will be about 3 hrs long. At the end, accommodation in a hotel/farm hotel in the area, dinner and overnight.

DAY 3

CANYONING IN VALCOSA AND GROTTE DI PRADIS (CAVES OF PRADIS)

After breakfast at the hotel, departure for Clauzetto, a small town awarded of the name “The Balcony of Friuli” for its location and beauty. Meeting with a professional alpine guide and equipment delivery for the canyoning, a sport connected to the aquatic world and mountaineering that consists in following the water trail descending from the mountain, by exploiting the tortuosity of the stream. This area in Friuli Venezia Giulia is full of gorges and deep walls eroded by the water. Lunch in a typical local tavern and in the afternoon a guided visit to the Grotte di Pradis (Caves of Pradis), also called the Green Caves because of the emerald green light that brights up its walls. Descending 207 steps it will be possible to admire the gorge created by the torrent Cosa.  Near the cave it is also possible to visit the “Museum of the Green Caves of Pradis” that hosts several paleontological and archeological artifacts from the cave and the surrounding territory. Return at the end of the tour.
